Rochester Remodel

A long time friend and avid art collector was relocating back to Rochester, NY. to be closer to his family and I was honored and excited when he invited me to be on his design team!

The perfect home required ample wall space for the many pieces of art and an open floor plan for furnishings collected throughout years of traveling.

Must-haves included the master suite on the first floor, two story spacious open plan, floor to ceiling windows to allow for light, and an outdoor pool to entertain the growing family.  The scope of the long distance remodeling project was to refresh of all of the original flooring to coordinate with the new.  Second, transform the 1950’s style bathrooms to today’s standards complete with a soaking tub, heated floors and double vanity sinks in the master using Cambria counter tops throughout. We used calacatta porcelain floor tile in the master and hall bathrooms and one stunning white paint color for the walls throughout along with the dark maple hardwood creating the perfect backdrop for the extensive art collection to be the dramatic focal point of every room.  The finished results are a glamorous yet comfortable and inviting home for entertaining and relaxing for years to come.
